About the Role
Our CSMs work with clients to ensure their optimal adoption of the FiscalNote and CQ product suite and that they have years of being a happy, successful client. They are the key players in onboarding for new clients—acting as consultants in scoping the engagement and recommending policy focus areas, software workflow, and organizational changes—and continue to promote client engagement and adoption to drive renewal throughout the client lifecycle. Through a combination of industry expertise, product knowledge, and client-management skills, the CSM, Public Sector partners with Account Management to address the product and training needs of our US Agency, House, and Senate clients.

You Will:
Understand desired business objectives to scope client use case and tailor engagement and software to meet objectives
Set up all client account components and perform technical configuration work, including the creation of Boolean search strings for client use in parsing legislative and regulatory data
Provide initial trainings, either in person or via screen share, to ensure understanding of account configuration and adoption of software workflow aligned with business objectives
Maintain positive relationships with end users through both periodic and targeted check-ins designed to maintain or increase product usage
Assist with a portfolio of clients, focusing on driving product usage and logo retentionIdentify and qualify sales leads and opportunities; work with ​Account Managers to build upon existing opportunities within their customer base
Use data on product adoption and client engagement to proactively improve client’s account configuration and product usage
Interface with Product and Engineering to meet end user needs
Leverage knowledge of client's use of products, future service needs, and competitive situations and work with the Account Management​ and Sales teams to protect and ultimately grow revenue
Analyze client's current usage of products and suggest "best practices" that increase customer efficiency and effectiveness
Recommend software and process improvements to users
Deliver white glove service to each client, with a knack for developing rapport and appropriately employing empathy

You Have:
1–2 years experience working on the Hill or involvement with a member or committee office
Sales, Account Management, Customer Support, Consulting, or another relevant client-facing role preferred
Excellent clarity in communication, telephone/email etiquette, and presentation delivery
Extreme poise and polish in conducting in-person meetings with user and senior-level executives
Comfort interacting and leading meetings with senior-level executives or Hill members
Comfort with ambiguity (we’re a rapidly growing company!) and evolving/expanding responsibilities
Love of data and experience using it for informed process change
Proactive attitude toward the resolution of  challenges/issues with high energy and technical acumen
Track record of maintaining outstanding customer satisfaction or providing outstanding customer service
Proficiency with Salesforce and/or related CRM software preferred
Passion for government processes, civic engagement, and data
Experience with data analytics a plus
