Despite Friday’s punishing humidity, FiscalNoters took to the sidewalk at 5 p.m. to chat with prospective candidates as part of the company’s first-ever Résumé Drop & Pokéstop recruiting blitz.
Team members doled out ice-cold Gatorades (because our Popsicle handouts melted) — mere steps from a hotbed of Poké-activity in Thomas Circle — while accepting CVs and answering questions about open positions and the company’s passion-fueled mission.
The event, imagined by client success manager Brandt Witt, encouraged intrigued candidates to drop off their CVs and engage in casual conversation with FN team members, including reps from the engineering and product teams.
Friday’s event was part of a greater, summertime sprint to grow the FiscalNote team, which was recognized as one of The Washington Post‘s Top Workplaces in June, in addition to earning the Technology Pioneer Award from the World Economic Forum.
While it’s unclear just how many digital critters were corralled Friday night, more than 30 résumés piled up on the table parked outside FiscalNote’s DC headquarters.
